Traffic app helps holiday shoppers

Before you head out to the mall this year for Christmas shopping keep in mind that you can take a look at what traffic looks like before you get on the highway.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has an app for that.

The Florida 511 app now features traffic camera views that show crashes, congestion and other incidents on all of Florida's interstates and roll roads. The app uses the iPhone's GPS tracking to provide you with traffic information within miles of your location.
