Tampa Bay, Florida-- Tropical Storm Andrea brought lots of rain and wind to the Tampa Bay area on Thursday, prompting multiple watches and warnings throughout the area. 

Polk County opens sandbag fill sites

Polk County, Florida -- Sandbags are now available to Polk County residents. 

A maximum of 25-30 sandbags will be provided to each household. The following locations will provide sand and sandbags, so bring your shovel and get prepared:

Radon exposure among top lung cancer causes

Tampa, Florida -- It's one of the top killers in the U.S., and while we know smoking and second hand smoke cause lung cancer, there's another one you may not have considered.

Radon is a naturally occurring gas found in soil and construction materials. Five to 15 percent of lung cancers are attributed to radon exposure. 

According to the EPA, four counties in our viewing area have moderate potential for increased levels -- Hillsborough, Polk, Sumter, and Citrus.

All lanes of eastbound I-4 now open

Lakeland, FL - Earlier this morning a FedEx semi was traveling eastbound on I-4 in the outside lane approaching the exit ramp to Kathleen Road.  Miguer Manzano, driver, attempted to keep control of the semi when he then went onto the shoulder and collided with the guardrail.  After the impact, he then collided with a railroad support pier for the railroad overpass.  The crash caused his trailer, which included a double tandem trailer combination, to lose it load of packages which were scattered across the eastbound lanes of I-

Bay area's Susan G. Komen 3-Day canceled for 2014

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day will not return to Tampa Bay, beginning next year.

The 60-mile breast cancer charity walk is still planned for this October 25-27, but it will be its last.

According to a statement by the organization, participation levels have made it difficult to sustain the event in 14 cities, so they will now only do seven cities.
