47 dogs found living in feces and urine; owners charged

Auburndale, Florida -- The Polk County Sheriff's Office says it found 47 dogs living in deplorable conditions inside an Auburndale home on Friday night. 

The pet owners, 49-year-old Randall Huggins and 55-year-old Bernice Walskey, have each been charged 40 counts of animal cruelty.

47 dogs rescued from disgusting drug home

Auburndale, Florida -- A check of a home for possible drug activity Friday evening revealed even more -- a disgusting home housing 47 dogs in cages filled urine and feces.

Deputies arrived at the home in the 3900 block of Owens Road and talked with Randall Huggins about the tip of possible drug activity. While they waited for him to secure loose dogs on the property so they could conduct a search, Bernice Walskey arrived.

Update:Three car crash, lanes now open

Polk County, Florida -- Deputies are currently working on  a three car crash on Canal Street and Highway 92 in Lakeland.

There are only minor injuries reported.

All lanes are now open.
