Lighthouse Ministries raises $213,000 for Men's Rescue Mission | Community Spirit

Lakeland, Florida – According to a release from Lighthouse Ministries, the non-profit organization raised a record $213,000 at their recent Proclaiming Hope Fundraising Event.

The proceeds will be used for the Men’s Rescue Mission renovation, scholarships to fill the needs of the residents, and community outreach.

The event at First Baptist Church featured guest speaker Dr. Tony Evans of The Urban Alternative, and celebrated Lighthouse Ministries’ 35 years of service to the community. It also marked the 10-year Anniversary of the Jay and Eloise Troxel Family Life Center (for women and children).

Last year, the organization served the men, women and children of the community by providing 200,734 meals, 32,375 nights of safe shelter, and over 7,458 pieces of clothing.
