2011 Cops for Kids | Community Spirit

Lakeland, FL -- Every year, the Lakeland Police department has sponsored the Cops for Kids program.

The toy donation program, with the help of generous community donors, allows families to provide their children with a happy holiday.

With less than half of the year left, you can start donating gifts now to make sure this year is even better than the last!

Gift donations for children up to 12 years of age are accepted. The gifts should be unwrapped and can be dropped off at the Lakeland Police Station. Cash donations are also accepted.

The annual Cops for Kids Holiday party will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lakeland Police Department.

Santa will be at the party and the children will also receive a holiday meal donated and catered by the Texas Cattle Company in addition to a gift. Police are expecting approximately 386 children to attend the party this year.

Drop Off Locations for gifts will be announced on November 1, 2011. To make an early donation, please contact the Community Services Unit at (863) 834-6912.
