Lakeland Police investigate Bank of America robbery | Crime

Lakeland, Florida-- Lakeland Police currently investigate a bank robbery that occurred just before 4:30 this afternoon at the Bank of America located at 2301 S. Florida Avenue. 

Police say no injuries have been reported, and no weapon was displayed during the robbery. 

They say the suspect placed an undisclosed amount of cash in a plastic grocery bag.

Police provided the following description of the suspect:

• Black male
• 6'1" to 6'5" tall
• Muscular to heavy build
• He has close cut facial hair and was wearing an athletic hat, long sleeve shirt, dark shorts with a light stripe, and glasses.
