Fun at First Friday for National Public Works Week! | Entertainment

Lakeland, Florida -- The City of Lakeland's Public Works Department will be celebrating the American Public Works Association National Public Works Week (NPWW) on Friday, May 4 during Lakeland's First Friday event.
During this event, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., shops and restaurants will stay open with music and entertainment along the streets including a classic car show.
The NPWW celebration will be In Munn Park featuring displays from each of the Public Works divisions. Some of the feature displays include:
- Heavy duty equipment
- Lakes & Stormwater awareness campaigns
- Pedestrian & bicycle safety
- Recycling materials
- And much more!
Along with these events, there will be children's activities, give-a-ways and fun for the whole family!
Everyone is invited to the Downtown Lakeland First Friday and the celebration of National Public Works Week. Parking is free beginning at 5:00 p.m. the evening of the event in the Main Street parking garage.
Additional free parking is also available in the Bay Street Lot, the Oak Street Park & ride and old fire station lot located at 400 E. Main St.
