Lake land, Florida-- Kids ages six - 12 can dig deep during the third Dirt Day event from 9 - 11 a.m. next Saturday, May 19.
Parks and Natural Resources presents "Dirt Days" to teach children that "What you grow! It matters."
Saturday's event showcases Master Gardener Miss Ginger, who will teach the first 30 attendees all about the importance of worms in one's garden.
Afterwards, the children will plant Cypress trees along the shoreline of Banana Lake Park, and even do some fishing.
So bring a gardening shovel and a fishing pole to Banana Lake Park, 5002 Tillery Rd. Lakeland, Florida on Saturday!
