Polk County Public School students win awards at state Science Fair | News
Bartow, Florida--11 Polk County Public Schools students won awards at the 57th Annual State Science and Engineering Fair of Florida held earlier this month.
The event took place at the Lakeland Center in Lakeland, Florida. Nearly 950 finalists from around the state displayed their projects and illustrated their research.
Students from grades six through 12 qualified for the state event by winning awards in 37 regional science and engineering fairs.

The Florida Foundation for Future Scientists (FFFS) is a statewide, non-profit organization authorized by the 1957 Legislature of the State of Florida to discover scientific and technical talent in the schools of Florida and to encourage the pursuit of careers in science and engineering.
