FHP says at about 5 a.m.,  the tractor trailer was on eastbound I-4, west of Kathleen Road. The driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle. The tractor trailer hit a guard rail and overturned onto the roadway.

At the time of the crash, the tanker was carrying 8,700 gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel. FHP says 1,100 gallons or more leaked onto the interstate.

The driver, 33-year-old Lucius Lawrence, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. He has been cited for careless driving.

As of 7 p.m., all lanes of I-4 and the Kathleen Road exit ramp are back open.
