Free ultrasounds to screen for a silent killer | News

LAKELAND, Florida -- You can get screened for a silent killer, but you have to act fast.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, or AAA, is the 3rd leading cause of sudden death in men over 60, but an ultrasound can help eliminate you from being one of the one million people who are undiagnosed living with the disease.

There are free screenings this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will be held at Holiday Retirement at Azalea Park located at 1325 Grasslands Boulevard in Lakeland. You must register in advance though. Call 866-371-3592.

The national non-profit organization AAAneurysm Outreach is offering the free screenings are for those at risk who are 60 are older.
