Romney-Ryan Farewell Victory Rally in Lakeland | News

Lakeland, Florida -- Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will bid farewell to the Tampa Bay area this morning at Lakeland-Linder Regional Airport before flying to Virginia.

The rally starts at 10 a.m.. Attendees can start arriving at 7:30 a.m..

For those who are attending the rally, you should plan on going through a security check point. No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids or signs will be allowed. You will be allowed to bring your camera.

You will also find that you will be parking further from the event than you may have planned. A shuttle will transport you to the rally location.

Here are the directions provided by Lakeland Police:

FROM TAMPA ON I-4 TOWARD LAKELAND

Head east on I-4

Take exit 27 to merge onto FL-570 E toward Lakeland/Winter Haven - Toll Road

Take exit 4 for Waring Road toward FL-572/Drane Field Road - Toll Road

Turn right onto Waring Road

Turn right onto W Pipkin Road

Turn right onto Airside Center Drive

FROM ORLANDO ON I-4 TOWARD LAKELAND

Head south on I-4

Take exit 41 to merge onto FL-570 W/Polk Parkway toward
Auburndale/Lakeland/Polk Parkway - Toll Road

Take exit 4 toward Waring Road/FL-572/Drane Field Road

Merge onto N Parkway Frontage Road

N Parkway Frontage Road turns left and becomes Waring Road

Turn right onto W Pipkin Road

Turn right onto Airside Center Drive

People who work and live in this area should expect heavier than normal
traffic and plan for delays. Old Medulla Road from Waring Road to Pipkin will
be open for LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY.
