New Polk County Public Schools administrator announced | News

Polk County, Florida--  Superintendent Dr. John A. Stewart and the Polk County School Board approved the appointment of Mrs. Yvette Scarborough as Principal at Horizons Elementary during the January 22 School Board meeting.

Yvette Scarborough began her career with Polk County Public Schools in 1993 as a Kindergarten teacher at Floral Avenue Elementary. She resigned from the District in 2000 and returned in 2004 as a teacher at Valleyview Elementary where she taught Kindergarten and Fourth Grade. Since 2009, Mrs. Scarborough has been the Assistant Principal at Horizons Elementary.

Yvette Scarborough is set to make over $80,000 a year in her new role.
